In September 2021, work was completed on relocating a portion of walking trail behind the Community Christian Center and Al Ameen Mosque on 6th Street SE that was compromised due to a creek bank washout. This work was completed by Paveit Construction.

The Town of Slave Lake would also like to thank Paveit Construction and True Grit Oilfield services for donating two wood carvings completed on tree stumps along the relocated trail. The Town greatly appreciates the generosity of these donations towards the community and the hard work of the contractors in the completion of the new trail.
