In the summer of 2022, construction and repairs were completed on the Sawridge Creek Watermain. This work involved:

  • Supplying and installing 300 mm HDPE water main via horizontal direction drill across Sawridge Creek and via the open cut method in an urban Public Utility Lot and in an urban roadway.
  • Removing and replacing existing 150 mm PVC water main with 250 mm PVC water main via vertical open-cut trench in an urban roadway.
  • Tying into existing operational water mains at various locations.
  • Removing and replacing water services.
  • Temporary and permanent surface restoration including landscaping, asphalt, and concrete.

This project was entirely funded by the Utility Reserves and Canada Community Building Fund.
